Leon Valley is in fact independent of San Antonio but due to the way everything flows together it is nearly impossible to actually tell where the city of Leon Valley starts and where San Antonio ends. If you are looking for a small town to live in while still being directly in the heart of San Antonio you should definitely consider moving to Leon Valley; nowhere else offers the quick access and convenience of the city while still being somewhat separated from the main part of San Antonio.
