Being so closely surrounded by San Antonio really does make it easy for residents to get to everything they need in most cases.

Overall Alamo Heights is a very popular city simply due to the fact that it is part of San Antonio while still remaining independent. Many people enjoy the fact that they are able to essentially live in San Antonio without officially living inside of the city. If you are looking for something a little bit more laid back and a little less busy then there are multiple suburban cities that would be a much better choice but for what is essentially a downtown neighborhood Alamo Heights is incredibly popular.
